Helsinki-Vantaa Airport will be opened for traffic this evening
4/19/10 2:51 PMBecause of a gap in the ash cloud in Finland's airspace, Helsinki-Vantaa Airport can also be opened for traffic. Turku and Tampere-Pirkkala airports were opened earlier today.
Services at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport will be available from 3 pm at least until 11 pm. At the same time, overflights of southern Finland are allowed. Turku and Tampere-Pirkkala airports are now estimated to be open from midday to midnight.
More information on the situation and any changes in the restrictions will be provided after 10 pm.
