Provision of civil aviation security

Aviation security is regulated at international level (ICAO) as well as at EU level.

The purpose of the regulation is to ensure a safe and smooth flight. The security measures are used to prevent illegal actions affecting civil aviation, and these measures are targeted at passengers as well as goods being transported. The security measures are performed by security officers, whose training is monitored by Trafi. Trafi also approves the equipment used in the security measures.
